Gastonia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., President Renee B. Knight

President’s Welcome:

Welcome to the official website of the Gastonia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I am honored to serve as the newly elected President and to continue the extraordinary legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action that has defined this chapter since its chartering on February 13, 1954.

My theme for this biennium is Together we R.I.S.E.—Grounded in Action & Commitment. It reflects both the strength of our national charge and our chapter’s determination to serve with purpose, integrity, and impact. Being grounded means we are firmly rooted in Delta’s values; choosing action and commitment ensures that our work in Gaston County is not only visible, but lasting.

For more than 70 years, Gastonia Alumnae has been a consistent presence in this community—mentoring youth, registering voters, promoting health and wellness, and answering the call when needs arise. From our College Day Fair and biennial Jabberwock to Coats for Kids and partnerships with our Divine 9 family, our efforts embody the true spirit of service.

I invite you to explore our programs, celebrate our achievements, and, most importantly, join us in this work. Together, grounded in action and commitment, we will continue to rise—higher, stronger, and united.
